Weapons

The International Karate Federation teaches traditional Okinawan weapons. Learning the art of weapons enhances students’ spatial awareness, coordination, and focus. The primary weapons that are taught include the Bo (staff), Sai and Eku (oar or paddle). The correct usage and proper application of each weapon is carefully taught through a multitude of katas. IKF’s curriculum is developed to produce well- rounded karate students, thus IKF is one of the select-few karate schools that still offer traditional Okinawan weapons.
