The School of Champions Booster Club is led by a dedicated group of volunteers who are passionate about supporting our athletes, coaches, and community. Each board member brings unique experience, energy, and heart to everything we do.
President: Crystal Whitfield
Crystal is the proud mother of Sean (black belt) who has been part of the dojo for 10 years. She currently serves as the President of the Booster Club and brings a lifelong connection to the dojoâshe was even one of Sensei Johnâs students 33 years ago when he first opened his doors. Her mom helped create this very booster club all those years ago. Crystal is dedicated to supporting the students, families, and growth of the dojo through her role on the board.Â
Vice President: Kathleen Reithmeier
Kathleen is a devoted step-mom to Alexis (purple belt) and has deep roots in the dojo dating back to 1994. Her brother Robbie is a Sensei and her cousins Jake is a black belt. She and her dad were once students, and her mom and aunt were a part of the Booster Club. Kathleen has served on the Booster Club since 2023 and is excited to help keep traditions alive. During practices youâll often find her crocheting in the corner.Â
Treasurer: Dao Fidel
Dao is the proud mom of two big boys, Koji and Kaleo. She has watched her boys grow up in the dojo since Koji started when he was 5 years old and Kaleo when he was 6 years old. As a teenager, Dao was an IKF student for a short period of time and is very honored to see her boys being able to continue their journey in earning their black belts. Dao joined the School of Champions Booster in 2018 and as a devoted member, she enjoys fostering connections with the karate parents and is delighted to see IKF students grow - not just in skills, but in teamwork, confidence and lasting friendships. Â
Event Coordinator: Amanda Abucay
Proud mom to Mason, or as Sensei calls him, the Filipino Clark Kent, and Aden, who just started his journey with IKF in September 2025. Amanda has been a dedicated member of the dojo for the past two years but has been part of the IKF family since the early 2000s when her brother, Sensei Branden joined. Sheâs excited to serve as a booster club member and blessed to be part of the best Karate Family!Â
Event Coordinator: Stefanie Reyes
Stefanie is the proud mother of four, including her son Caleb, a dedicated purple belt who began his karate journey in 2022. She has been connected to IKF for over 20 years through her brother, Sensei Branden. Growing up around the dojo, Stefanie has witnessed the lasting impact IKF has on students and families alike. As an active Booster Club member, sheâs passionate about giving back to the community that has shaped her family for decades. Stefanie enjoys supporting IKF events, encouraging young athletes, and helping uphold the values of discipline, confidence, and respect that define IKF.Â
Event Coordinator: Joy Estaris
Joy has been a dedicated member of the IKF Booster Club for the past two years but has been part of the dojo family since 2002! Itâs actually where she met her husband, Regâbetter known to everyone as Sensei Reg. Their daughter, Elleia (purple belt), began her karate journey in 2023 and brings the same competitive spirit as her parents. Joy is excited to make this an amazing and memorable karate year for all the kids!Â
Fundraising Coordinator: Mayra Stewart
Mayra joined the IKF Family in 2022 through her son Mateotl (green belt). What began as a simple recreational activity soon became a powerful calling. Watching her son fall in love with the art, as well as grow in discipline, confidence, and heart, has been one of the most rewarding experiences for her and her husband. What started as a couple of classes a week turned into a six day devotion and a shared family journey of collective growth. As a Booster Club member, she is dedicated to giving back to the dojo that has given her family so much.
Fundraising Coordinator: Kimiyo Machado
As a devoted mother of three boys and a longtime IKF Karate Dojo supporter, Kimiyo brings her enthusiasm and organizational skills to the School of Champions Board as the Event and Fund Development Chair. Her involvement with IKF spans generationsâher oldest son trained at the dojo years ago, and her youngest is proudly following in his footsteps today. Kimiyo is passionate about creating memorable events and helping secure the resources needed to support IKF athletes in reaching their full potential.
